Is
your Children's Ministry looking a little tired? Do you feel like
you need something different, a new direction but are not sure the
way to go about it? We may have the answer for you. Pastor David
Goodwin, International Director of Kidsreach and children's Ministry Consultant, has had over 30 years
of Children's Ministry experience.
David can come to your church and prepare a report
on your total children's ministry. He will talk with your senior
minister and church leadership and children's ministry team. He
will observe your children's ministry in action at all levels and
will talk to randomly chosen children and parents.
From that, he will make observations and will prepare
a report (usually not less than 30 pages) that will contain a summary
of his observations and give recommendations on things that could
greatly enhance your children's ministry. These will include:
- Facilities - how you can best utilize and enhance
what you have now and some advice to the future.
- Safety and Protection protocol. Help with your Duty
of Care policy.
- Program and curriculum - is it suited to the children
you have? Every group of children has different needs. Is the
curriculum you are using now, best suited to the needs of your
children and is it the best value for your money?
- Leadership style and leadership issues.
- Relationship between adult church and children's
church.
- Vision and core values of the church - how is children's
church flowing with the vision of the whole church.
- Evangelism - recommendations on how to evangelise
children according to the needs of your area.
What will be required from you:
- The invitation to do a consultancy must come from
your Senior Minister as it will be to him or her that the report
will be presented.
- Access to speak to your church leaders and children's
ministry leaders in an open and frank manner and to speak to some
randomly selected parents.
- Access to visit your children's ministry program,
view facilities and observe program.
- Larger churches will need two Sundays plus midweek
appointments and a meeting with leaders. Smaller churches may
need only one Sunday but the same midweek appointments.
Fee Schedule
There is a fee charged for this service, depending
on the size of the church. Larger churches are more complex and
therefore will require more time. In addition to all transport and
accommodation costs (David is happy to be billeted) the following
fees apply:
- Churches of less than 100 adults and children attending
on Sunday - $1000
- Churches of more than 100 adults and children but
less than 300 attending on Sunday - $1100
- Churches of more than 300 adults and children but
less than 500 attending on Sunday - $1400
- Churches of more than 500 adults and children attending
on Sunday but less than 1000 - $2000.
- Churches of over 1000 adults and children by negotiation.
All fees are current at 1 June 2008, exclude GST
(if applicable) and are subject to change.
David is also happy to do any training seminars
you may want, while he is in your area.
