Working in Children’s Ministry is both exciting and rewarding, and you have an opportunity to be inspiring and influential in the lives of the children you minister to. This course will improve your ability to be both, by upskilling you across many areas. The teacher is David Goodwin , the International Director of Kidsreach, who is a leading children's pastor who ministers in leader’s seminars and conferences in different countries of the world - across many denominations. He has a passion to motivate your church and workers to see the importance of reaching children.

This intensive is run in two parts (and in two sepearte courses), the first (Part 1) being a stand alone subject, while Part 2 builds upon Part 1.

This intensive looks at the skills and dynamics of running a children’s ministry program Students will be skilled in a number of teaching techniques and have basic skills to manage classroom discipline and be able to make classroom learning for children an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Students will be able to provide meaningful classroom activities that will enrich children spiritually.

• How children learn – looking at the primary learning styles of children
• Writing and telling stories
• Teaching with object lessons
• Planning, preparing and presenting age-appropriate lessons
• Scripture memorisation
• Classroom discipline
• Effective use of visual aids
• Leading children to worship
• Small group (Sunday school) approach to children's ministry
• Large group (children's church)
• Transitioning
• How to make connection between adult church and children’s church.
