School
of Children's Counselling in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane
In-depth teaching on counselling children
This
specialist five day course is designed to equip children's pastors,
care workers, foster parents, school teachers and those in ministry
to children. It will show those in Christian Ministry can and must
develop a professional approach when dealing with children with deep
needs. Children are body, soul and spirit. Christian workers must
never forget the spiritual needs of children, but must also not ignore
the emotional hurts.
Presented by David Goodwin the course looks at skills and techniques
of counselling children in order to equip children's pastors, counsellors,
care workers, parents and those in ministry to children.
This course covers major issues related to counselling children who
suffer from grief, neglect, abuse and trauma. It encompasses the whole
counselling process including: the counselling relationship, listening
skills, counselling techniques and bringing counselling to a conclusion.
Particular attention is paid to the role of the Holy Spirit in Counselling
and identifying how Jesus engaged with people. See the attached form
for details of the closest School of Counselling to you.
Delegates can apply to come to just day one of the course: An Introduction
to Counselling - where many of the concepts and ideas will be introduced.
The remaining days of the course will cover the subjects and counselling
process in detail.
